ABOUT

OUR MISSION.
Our mission at Mountainfilm on Tour Savannah is to use the power of film to educate and inspire audiences to create a better world. We work in partnership with Mountainfilm in Telluride, Colorado.
OUR
HISTORY.
In 2009, our founder Zelda Tenenbaum brought Mountainfilm to Savannah. After attending the Mountainfilm festival in Telluride, Colorado, for years, Zelda was excited to share this special event with Savannah. We had about 50 people at our first screening, and thanks to the support of our community, have grown into a five-day festival, with eleven screenings and thousands of attendees.
ABOUT MOUNTAINFILM.
Mountainfilm uses the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world. Started in 1979, in Telluride, Colorado, it’s one of our country’s longest-running film festivals. At its annual Memorial Day weekend festival, Mountainfilm showcases nonfiction documentary stories about adventure, the environment and cultural, political and social justice issues that matter. The festival goes beyond film by bringing together world-class athletes, change-makers and visionary artists to celebrate man’s indomitable spirit. The festival aims to inspire audiences to take action on worthy causes.
